This position is for a full-time Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for Bellevue Professional Services (BPSI) a subsidiary of The Bellevue Hospital.
 

 

Position Summary. The Nurse Practitioner provides advance practice nursing care and treatment, physical examinations, and education on preventative health measures. Orders, interprets and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient’s clinical diagnosis and health care needs. The NP prescribes/recommends drugs and other forms of treatment. The nurse practitioner educates patients about health promotion, disease prevention, lifestyle modifications, and management of chronic disease processes.

 

Essential Functions

• The Nurse Practitioner collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective holistic patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes.

• Analyzes information, develops and implements plan of care, evaluates results and makes adjustments as necessary.

• Documents patient care reflecting the patient condition and the care provided.

• Integrates experience and critical thinking skills to ensure safe patient care.

• Participates in quality improvement activities by identifying, implementing, and monitoring process changes.

  Position Requirements
   

• Have and maintain a current, valid Ohio certificate of authority to practice nursing as a certified nurse practitioner issued by the OBN (Certificate of Authority).

• Holds a Certificate To Prescribe (CTP) or Externship Certificate to Prescribe (CTP-E)

• Have and maintain DEA number.

• Have and maintain current clinical privileges at The Bellevue Hospital.

• Have and maintain a current standard care arrangement with the collaborating physician.
